All MD sports teams will have a $90.00 per student Athletic Fee.  Students need to only pay this fee once per year, and can join up to three teams. Fee payments will only be made after the tryouts have occurred (some sports have tryout fees e.g. ice rentals for hockey).  All team and athletic fees will be offered through School Cash Online, the preferred method of payment, or cheques payable to Milton District High School can be provided to the coach.

The fees cover our membership with the Halton Secondary School Athletics Association (HSSAA), which include our referees, equipment, first aid, coach support, and awards. The fees will also cover some transportation costs and includes the $25.00 financial contribution to the Annual Athletic Banquet.  Additional fees may be incurred depending on the sport, the number of tournaments, etc. Coaches will communicate specific team fees with each student.

IN GRADE 10, 11 or 12 and NEW TO Milton District?

If you're transferring to Milton in the 2017-2018 school year in grade 10, 11 or 12, there are a number of eligibility considerations that must be met before competing for our teams.

Please refer to the OFSAA Transfer Policy, which all schools in the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association(HSSAA) must follow. If the transfer form applies to your student, please complete the form and bring it, along with the required supporting documentation to Mr. O’Brien in the Healthy, Active Living Office as soon as possible. Student-Athletes new to Milton beyond grade 9 may NOT compete in athletics until this requirement is met and the student is deemed eligible by HSSAA.

As always, financial concerns should not keep a student from participating. Please contact the Leader of Healthy and Active Living, Mr. O’Brien at or call the school for assistance.
