Members of Student Government are elected each year by the student population.  Membership in Student Government offers students excellent ways to get involved in our school.  Student Government manages a wide range of events, activities & programs around the school, such as Jr. & Sr. Semi-Formals, Valentine's Day flowers, Exam Stress busters and so much more.

Student Senator for the 2018-2019 School Year

The Halton District School Board is asking our schools to select representatives for Student Senate.  We are looking for  Jr. Senator (Gr. 9 or 10); and a Sr. Senator (Gr. 11 or 12) to represent Milton District.

What is Student Senate?  It's a group of passionate student leaders from public schools across the HDSB.  Students meet once a month to share student perspective on Board issues and to voice the questions and concerns of Halton Students to the Board.  The Student Trustees relay these perspectives to the Board of Trustees to ensure that students are being represented  Each year, Student Senators also organize and run the Halton Youth Leadership Symposium, a conference for all Halton students.  Senate meets once a month at the J.W. Singleton Education Centre in Burlington (2050 Guelph Line, Burlington).  Consistent attendance is critical. Secondary Senate meetings run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (pizza dinner is provided).  Meeting dates for the 2017-2018 school year can be found here.
