Every year we put on a major show in the spring. We need performers, tech crew, backstage crew, designers and more! Lots of opportunities!

Come show MD what you can do! Or help backstage!

The National Theatre School Festival is a friendly performance competition between all the schools in Halton. Each school rehearses and performs a 15-50min play that is then critiqued by the chosen adjudicator. There is a banquet and awards ceremony during which time students are recognized for achievements in performance, stage management, design etc. and the winners of the competition are announced and move on to the Regional Festival.

This is a student directed one-act festival that takes place in the fall. Students who would like to direct a one-act play will submit the play and a proposal to the executive drama council. The play can be student-written or professionally written. Drama council will choose which plays be in the festival. Students will hold auditions, organize a tech crew, rehearse and then perform. Winners of the festival move on the the NTS festival.

The grade 11/12 drama class performs One-Act plays to an audience in the evening at the end of the semester as their final performance task.

Students will have an opportunity to put together any artistic performance - dance, skit, improv etc. and perform at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre with other schools in Halton.
