Basket Program

For the past few years, MD has received funding from the Halton Learning Foundation to support the Food For Thought Program.  We have used these funds to provide a basket program which gives students in need a nutritious breakfast to start their day at school.  The funding has also allowed us to provide a Cafe voucher for lunch for students who otherwise may not be able to eat during the day.

Update!!
We wanted to say THANK YOU to our school community.  Thanks to your generosity and support, we will have enough funds to run the Basket program until the end of this school year.  Since reaching out to you, our school community, we have received just over $2200 towards the Basket program.

Donations can still be made online using Cashless and the fee is called Food for Thought CashlessSchools.  The fee is open, which means you can donate any amount you are comfortable with giving.  Cheques can also be dropped off at the school in the Guidance office.

We appreciate your support to this very worthwhile and much needed program for our school community.  Every donation matters and all donations go directly to supporting student nutrition for the sake of learning.

Thank you!

Should you require a tax receipt for your donation, please fill out this Donation Receipt Request Form and send it in to the school along with your donation.  A receipt request will be entered into our donation registry and issued to you from the Board.
