Returning student to MD

If you attended Milton District for the 2016-2017 school year, and are continuing next year with us, here are the key pieces of info you need for September Start Up:

Student Verification Days

2017-2018 School Year


We invite all students to our Verification days!


Tuesday, August 29       9:00 am to 12:00 pm & 1:00 to 4:00 pm


Wednesday, August 30 9:00 am to 12:00 pm & 1:00 to 4:00 pm


If you are not available during our registration dates, don’t worry.  Please visit the main office August 31st with your completed, signed forms and your Student Engagement fee.  We are happy to take your forms on the first day as well, starting at 11:00 am if you are still enjoying your summer vacation!  

During the last week of regular classes, MD students received their September package which contains the following forms to be signed by parents and returned to the school (at Verification days above, or during the summer):

  • Student Verification form (this confirms contact info for the year).  Please ensure your email information is correct.  Important information is emailed to parents throughout the school year.  To ensure you always receive this information please update the school if your email information changes.
  • Freedom of Information permission form

  • Medical Information permission form

  • Phys Ed, Intramurals & Clubs permission form

  • Informed Consent/Outdoor Curricular Activities

  • If applicable, Emergency Medical information form.  This is particularly important if you have severe or life threatening allergies.

  • Student Engagement Fee $30.00 (provide copy of School Cash Online receipt, cheque payable to Milton District High School, or exact cash)

  • Edge Imaging photo order form if you wish to purchase school photos.  Payments are made directly to Edge Imaging.

We ask that students and parents read and be aware of the following:


At Verification days on August 29 or 30, all Milton students will receive:

  1. Student Card with your photo.  All students must have a student card as this serves as a confirmation of your status as a student at MD and if you are a bus student, your student card serves as your bus pass.


New this year!  Students will be asked to register their lockers with their homeroom teacher during the first week of school in Period 1 classes.  Please ensure that your student brings a Dudley lock with them to school on the first day.  


Timetables will be emailed to students directly, to their hdsb account by August 28, 2017.


Grade 12s - In an effort to help offset costs during this busy year (Prom, Commencement, University and College applications, etc.) we are asking that you pay the $55.00 Grad fee now.  The fee helps to offset the cost of the Commencement venue, rental of stage & chairs, the gown and cap (which students keep), and various incidentals to put the Commencement ceremony together.  The fee is $55.00 and can be paid via School Cash Online, or bring the form to the main office, and be sure to include your gown size so that we can compile that data for the gown provider.  Alternatively, you may also complete the Gown Size google form which can be found on our school website under the Gr. 12 link on the home page.
