Memories from the 1930's

In 1930, students George Fraser, Edgar Watts, Blanche Reeve, Mervin Ezeard and Ernest Robertson took the High School Entrance Exam and received the highest standing.

In 1932 the fall term began with 215 students.  The average mark for spelling tests was 82%.

In 1936 a part-time music teacher was employed.

In 1938, choirs and sports teams were victorious in many of their competitions.

In 1939, Frances Allen gave the Valedictory Address at Commencement.  She also wrote an operetta that year.
