Memories from the 1990's

The 90's proved to be a very successful year for Mustang Athletics.  Our teams won many Halton and GHAC Championships, and Provincial awards.

Championships 

1990  Sr. Boys Curling - Halton & GHAC; Jr. & Midget Girls Cross Country Halton; Jr Girls Volleyball Halton.

1991 Championships:  Sr. Girls Cross Country Halton & GHAC; Midget Girls Cross Country Halton; Midget Boys Cross Country Halton & GHAC; Overall Girls & Overall Combined Cross Country Halton; Cheerleading Halton; Ski Team Halton & GHAC; Midget Boys Volleyball Halton.

1992 Boys Alpine Skiing Halton & GHAC.

1993 Boys Alpine Skiing Halton & GHAC, and Combined GHAC; Midget Boys Basketball Halton; Sr. Girls Cross Country GHAC; Girls Softball Halton.

1994 Sr. Badminton Halton; Girls Softball Halton.

1995 Girls Softball Halton.

1996 Boys Baseball Halton & Provincial; Sr. Badminton Mixed Doubles Halton & GHAC.

1997 Boys Alpine Skiing Provincial; Track & Field Halton; Cheerleading Halton & Provincial Silver Medalists.

1998 Alpine Skiing Halton.

Valedictorians included Dave Wessinger, John Opsteen, Natalie Clark, Chris Smith, Paul Nunnaro, Matt Bell, Jason Christie, Jason Brownridge, Cameron Fraser & Craig O'Neil.

Milton District Alumni David James Elliott rose to fame in the television series JAG; and MD Alumni Chris Hadfield was aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-74) as a mission specialist in November 1995.

Drama Productions

Some of the major productions in the 90’s include: Fiddler on the Roof, Scapino, Hello Dolly, Blithe Spirit, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Once Upon a Mattress, and Done to Death.
