Student Absences

Student Absences/Attendance

The Online Student Information System is designed to allow parents of students under the age of 18, the opportunity to access daily attendance data and credit accumulation information for their son/daughter without first having to contact the high school directly.  Data for students who are 18 years or older is not available through this site due to legal restrictions.

To discuss the information provided in the site, or if you believe there is an error in the data, please contact the school directly.

Extended Absence from School

Schools must be open at certain fixed periods of time to provide educational opportunities for the students entrusted to their care.  In turn, the schools are accountable to the parents and to the Board of Education for the evaluation and attendance of these students.  Parents withdrawing their son/daughter from school during the school year must assume responsibility for the instructional time missed.  Parents are asked to review this Extended Absence Information Letter and complete the MDHS Planned Absence Form to advise the school of an extended absence for their student.
