Gifted Program

Gifted Program

Our Gifted Placements are offered in Grades 9 & 10 in the following courses:   

• Grade 9 & 10 English

• Grade 9 Geography

• Grade 10 History

• Grade 9 & 10 Mathematics

• Grade 9 & 10 Science

These classes will follow the same curriculum expectations as Academic classes and will be assessed and evaluated the same way; however, they will differ from Academic classes in the depth, breadth, and pacing of the material covered.  

Students in the enhanced classes will:

• Receive instruction at an appropriate pace & depth

• Be provided with extension activities top replace the work that they have already mastered

• Utilize critical thinking skills and engage in creative activities

• Have the opportunity to work on independent projects & activities
